PINK FLOYD MEDDLE, RARE VERSION 1971 ALBUM HAND SIGNED BY (4) C. THIS AMAZING ALBUM WAS RELEASED IN SPAIN IN 1971 AND IS THE ONLY RELEASE OF THE ALBUM MEDDLE THAT HAS "THE PINK FLOYD " ON THE ALBUM COVER, THE NAME THEY WENT BY BEFORE SHORTENING TO JUST "PINK FLOYD ". AS THE STORY GOES THE BAND WAS PLAYING GIGS AT THE COUNTDOWN CLUB IN LONDON IN 1965 AS "THE TEA SET " WHEN ANOTHER BAND PLAYING A SET AT THE CLUB HAD THE SAME NAME, SYD BARRETT CREATED THE NAME ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT, THE NAME COMING FROM TWO BLUES MUSICIANS FROM BARRETTS ALBUM COLLECTION, PINK ANDERSON AND FLOYD COUNCIL. MEDDLE WAS A GROUP EFFORT WITH LYRICS PRIMARILY BY WATERS, AND IS CONSIDERED A TRANSITIONAL ALBUM BETWEEN THE SYD BARRETT INFLUENCED GROUP OF THE LATE 60 S, AND THE WATTERS LED ERA.
THIS AMAZING PIECE OF FLOYD HISTORY HAS VERY GOOD HAND SIGNED SIGNATURES FROM, ROGER WATTERS, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, AND THE LATE AND GREAT RICHARD WRIGHT. THIS ALBUM OPENS TO SHOW THE FULL PHOTOGRAPH OF THE ALBUM COVER AND WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! ONE OF A KIND PIECE FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION.
