Signed on the half-title page by Jackie Robinson in blue ballpoint pen, "Best Wishes, Jackie Robinson". Signed on the title page by Floyd Patterson, Best wishes, Floyd Patterson, 05/25/62. Very good condition overall with a good dust jacket. This book was originally given to. Marion Edwena Kenworthy, a distinguished 20th century psychoanalyst. Robinson and Patterson worked together for the civil rights movement in America. Because the signature has been preserved inside of a book, this is the best looking signature of Jackie Robinson that can be found anywhere.

Signed books of him are very scarce. The slightly bowed boards show minor soiling and bumping to the spine ends. The dust jacket has some wear, rubbing, mild soiling, chipping to its extremities, a few small tears, and minor wrinkling. There is foxing to the dust jacket. The edges of the text block show minor soiling and foxing, and there are a few spots of foxing on the last page, otherwise the text is clean throughout.
